The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CDMX) arrested five alleged hitmen belonging to the Tepito Union on Thursday, used to attack rival criminal groups. Four of the detainees are minors, according to information shared with this outlet. Christopher Iván “N”, 35 years old, was wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet while continuing his criminal activities for the Union.

Along with him, the capital police arrested Aaron “N”, Justin “N”, Iker “N”, 15 years old, and Ángel “N”, 16, all priority targets for arrest and identified for carrying firearms and participating in incidents of aggression in the Morelos neighborhood, in the Tepito area.

The arrest was the result of cabinet investigation work and was a follow-up to a shooting incident that occurred on October 16 in the San Francisco Culhuacán neighborhood, Coyoacán municipality. Along with the hitmen, apparent drugs were seized: 100 doses of a solid white substance resembling cocaine, 100 doses of a crystalline substance similar to crystal meth, a black plastic bag with suspected bulk marijuana, and a firearm.

The location of the arrest is on Platino Street in Valle Gómez neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc municipality, where apparently drugs were being sold and stored.

The crime being investigated against these individuals is the homicide of a young man in the Second Closed 5 de Mayo, in the San Francisco Culhuacán neighborhood, in the Coyoacán municipality, who was traveling in a BMW SUV. They are also accused of alleged participation in an aggression against an individual known as “El Ramsés,” which occurred on May 31 on the Circuito Interior and Ferrocarril Hidalgo, who was traveling in a gray Cupra vehicle.
